Company Overview

Infosys Limited is a global leader in next-generation digital services and consulting, serving clients across more than 50 countries. Founded in 1981 by N. R. Narayana Murthy and a team of six other software professionals in Pune, India, Infosys has grown to become one of the most prominent IT consulting firms in the world. The company is now headquartered in Bengaluru, India, and is publicly listed on both the NSE/BSE and the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), reflecting its global scale and operational excellence.

In recent years, Infosys has accelerated digital transformation solutions through key suites like Infosys Cobalt (a set of cloud services, platforms, and frameworks) and Infosys Topaz (an AI-first offering using generative AI technologies). These modern systems enable enterprise clients to rapidly build resilient operations, harness cognitive insights, and migrate legacy architectures to public or hybrid clouds. Infosys's delivery model leverages globally distributed development centers, driving business innovation for retail, banking, manufacturing, and healthcare leaders worldwide.

The work culture at Infosys heavily prioritizes continuous learning, employee development, and technological adaptability. The company's premier upskilling platforms—Infosys Springboard and Lex—provide comprehensive digital curriculums, certifications, and hands-on coding sandboxes for both student preparation and internally selected engineers. The massive Infosys Global Education Center in Mysuru remains a legendary benchmark for entry-level engineering training, turning fresh graduates into project-ready software engineers.

Infosys's fresher hiring strategy is structured around national qualifier exams and campus placement drives. Standard routes like the Infosys Certification and the Infosys National Qualifier Test evaluate core cognitive capability, quantitative aptitude, and programming skills. Based on test performances, graduates are offered specialized career roles: the standard Systems Engineer (SE) tier, the Digital Specialist Engineer (DSE) tier, or the premium Specialist Programmer (SP) tier, establishing a clear path for technical growth.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

Underestimating the Pseudo-code Section

The pseudo-code section has strict time boundaries. Make sure to practice trace-output questions for bitwise operations and recursion.

Weak SQL Queries Writing

Candidates often fail to write precise SQL queries during technical interviews. Practice Joins, Group By, and Subqueries thoroughly.

Vague Explanations of Final Year Projects

If you cannot explain your project's architecture, database design, or your specific contributions, interviewers will assume it is not your original work.
